Check Gironde Inforoutes for closures. Since 28/09, presence remains forbidden inside burned sectors (yellow-alert communiqué), not across all forest areas.

Attestations and booklet: préfecture “useful information” page (updated 21/08). The exceptional claim deadline announced on 20/08 ran until 31/08/2026. For business partial activity, see the 25/09 release (extended until 4/10/2026).

Access to forests and burned areas
28 September: forest-fire alert yellow (level 2/5). Free presence is allowed again in ordinary forest areas. It remains forbidden inside burned sectors, except a legitimate reason. The Saumos fire was declared out the same day. We do not say whether a campsite is “open”.
